'CUSTOM'

’CUSTOM’ took place on 5th of May 2015 at Sabanci University in Istanbul. It was my personal project, in which I have engaged a group of volunteering performers. Going through a custom at the airport in Israel I had experienced strong feelings of anxiety and claustrophobia. This had led me to consider all similarities between that event and our everyday cultural-social life. 'CUSTOM' is a situation that involves public in the direct action and makes them consider who they are in a social hierarchy and what restrictions they sometimes put over the others.
