A year between Sep 2015 - Sep 2016 I have spent in Sandefjord, Norway, working with Stella Polaris Life Theatre. This year had very much influenced my perception of art, focusing it onto nature, spirituality and collectivity.
I have worked with them as a student, an actor, a performer, a children pedagogue, a vocalist, a practical worker with technical equipment and costume maintenance.
I took part in already established performances of the group such as "Celebration of Life", "Voices of Gokstad" or characteristic for the group fire shows. And we have produced new performances together such as "Circo Vita - in a whale's womb", "Flames over the Mountain", "Jutematine" (The Christmas Matine) and "Dreamfollower".
"Stella Polaris takes us back to ancient celebrations and previous rituals of human life. In a world of jesters, storytellers, troubadours and fakirs we want to bring back memories of our common ancestry and trigger our longing for something larger then life. Through our expressive form of theatre, verging on the brink of the profane as well as the sacral, we take our audiences into a playful and caring world where magic moments between people occur."
